About the Charity - Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter was established in 1896 and helps animals that are lost, unwanted, neglected, abused and abandoned. Our objective is the promotion of kindness and prevention of cruelty to animals. They reunite lost animals with their owners and find loving new homes for those no longer wanted. They cover the whole of the North East from our shelter at Benton North Farm in Newcastle.
Their Mission - Their mission statement is to ‘save lives across the North East’.
They promote kindness and the prevention of cruelty to animals. They rehome and reunite dogs and cats with new loving homes every year, so thier aim is to continue to be able to help save lives and helping animals that need care. However, to do this they require kind donations and fundraising from the general public and local businesses.
Their Values - At the heart of everything we do are the values that guide and inspire us every day. These values reflect our commitment to the animals and our community, ensuring that we remain dedicated and effective in our mission. We believe in the power of compassion, commitment, adaptability, support, and joy.
